Helen is a passionate and dedicated Yoga teacher based in Brighton. With over 20 years of experience in movement, Yoga, nutrition, rehabilitation recovery and injury support, she offers private one to one Yoga therapy sessions.
Her work is rooted in a whole body approach seeing the mind and body as deeply connected rather than separate.
Time spent in India learning from experienced teachers has shaped her understanding, alongside years of working with clients and her own lifelong practice.
Rather than just working on the surface, Helen draws on traditional Yoga, elements of Ayurveda, modern movement science and practical experience to help uncover the root causes of discomfort, tension, imbalance, rehabilitation recovery and injury.
Each session is shaped around you, how your body feels, how you move naturally, what you want to improve and how you recover.
This might be building flexibility, easing tension in the neck and shoulders, supporting rehabilitation recovery and injury, reducing anxiety and overthinking, or simply feeling more comfortable and at ease in your body.
Breath work sits at the centre of her teaching. It helps you breathe more efficiently, release held tension, build strength through the pelvic floor and core, and support recovery.
Many people find it calms the mind, supports digestion, reduces anxiety and improves overall energy and wellbeing.
Movement is used to open and strengthen the body, improving posture balance, mobility, aiding rehabilitation recovery and injury prevention. It can help with common issues like tight hips, rounded shoulders, back tension, stiffness, and support circulation, metabolism, menopause and overall vitality.
As breath and movement come together people often notice they feel lighter in the body, less tense in the mind, more able to focus, rest, recover and sleep well.
All private clients also receive a complementary diet and lifestyle analysis. Helen sees this as an essential piece of the puzzle, helping you live in greater balance and harmony by looking at daily habits, nutrition routines and recovery with guidance informed by both Ayurveda and modern nutritional understanding.
Helen has worked privately with clients in both London and Marbella, supporting a wide range of needs from stress, general tension, rehabilitation recovery and injury to physical conditioning. She trained and taught in India for several years where she developed a style that blends traditional Yoga with a modern understanding of how the body works in everyday life. Her background in endurance sport also shapes her approach particularly around recovery consistency, rehabilitation and working intelligently with the body.
Alongside her private sessions in Brighton she also teaches internationally on retreats.
