Helen's Story

Helen began her fitness career in 2007 in London, studying exercise physiology and nutrition, which complemented her passion for long-distance running and achieving optimal fitness and health.

During her time in London, she taught a variety of clients specialising in metabolism, fat loss, strength training and enhancing health both mentally and physically through exercise and nutrition.

In 2017 Helen moved to Marbella, Spain, where she completed her Pilates teacher training after suffering a herniated disc.

After seeing a range of specialists, no one seemed to get to the root cause of her constant sciatica and pain, so Helen took it upon herself to take a deep dive into studying Pilates and movement to rehabilitate her body and help others with similar debilitating pain. With a passion for assisting people to not only reduce pain but to reach a higher fitness than ever before.

During her time in Spain, Helen worked with many high-profile clients, athletes and business people experiencing excessive stress and anxiety, which ignited a flame to study Yoga, philosophy, meditation and breath work.

Helen studied Ashtanga Yoga under Lalit Kumar at Himalaya Yoga Valley in Goa, India. She completed her teacher’s training and then returned to complete her 300h advanced teacher’s training.

Helen is based in london and works predominately on a one-to-one basis, alongside delivering workshops.

As a recreational athlete with almost twenty years experience in different movement disciplines, Helen has a passion for helping people who are struggling to lose weight and get fit, people who suffer from chronic pain and injury, alongside being a motivator and inspiration to get in the best shape of your life.

Helen loves to teach Pilates, Yoga and Resistance training alongside more high intensity and endurance.

She believes that building solid foundations within the body, creating balance and undoing modern-day living is essential when moving forward within health and fitness.

Using her expertise to correct, rebuild and enhance every aspect of your body, health and happiness in a way you like to train, she will educate you on how to train yourself.

Helen is also a passionate plant-based chef, having trained at the London Vegan Chef School. Her dedication to creating delicious and healthy plant-based meals shines through in every dish she prepares. To learn more, visit @plantbasedbyhelen
